Stablecoin Infrastructure

Our Stablecoin Research looks at whether digital dollars, known as stablecoins, could make it faster and cheaper to send money to The Gambia. It examines the Central Bank of The Gambia’s evolving stance, current regulation and the licensed providers that could move funds while recipients still receive dalasi through their bank, mobile money or cash.

Our goal is to reduce transfer costs so more of every dollar reaches our programs and communities. The research explores a small, carefully managed pilot as a first step before considering any wider use.
