About Gambia Garden

Our origin

Gambia Garden began in 2023 when co-founders Vincent Yaldoo and Drew Daniels started sending support to people in The Gambia. One act led to another: food assistance became relationships, relationships became projects, and projects became an international organization.
Today, Gambia Garden brings together people in The Gambia, France, the United States and beyond around sport, education, agriculture, health, technology and opportunity.
A developing institution
Direct support and community relationships begin in The Gambia.
Gunjur and Jarra Soma relationships develop; Gambia Garden attends the XXVI IFAF Congress on December 7, 2024, at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne.
Programs, an international team and the French-registered entity take shape.
A future platform designed to connect verified needs with responsible support worldwide.
We begin by listening and building relationships across distance, culture and sector.
Programs should respond to needs identified with communities—not assumptions made from afar.
We are building documentation, consent and reporting into the way work is presented.
Our global vision depends on trustworthy local systems, clear boundaries and responsible growth.
