English Tutoring

Our English Tutoring Program, led by Oxford English graduate Joy Chang, gives small groups of Gambian students English literacy and writing lessons over WhatsApp. We chose WhatsApp because students already use it: there’s no new app to download, it uses little data, and lessons can work around different time zones.

We want to help students build strong reading and writing skills that open doors in school and work, and to grow the program as we learn what works best.
